Here at verve, we only use a 100% natural and 100% biodegradable
towel range from seedling certified company Scrummi.
Scrummi towels start of as either
eucalyptus or cedar trees which
are then harvested to make
100% soft and natural
biodegradable wood fibres.
Therefore, Scrummi towels are
not only eco-friendly and vegan,
but they are ethically sourced
through sustainable forestry
programs in central Europe.
As it stands, their yearly volume
of wood regrowth is by 10
million cubic metres higher than
the wood quantities harvested
per year. It should be noted that
all the water used in the process
is filtered and recycled, all plants
are monitored, and they also
have strict corporate and social
responsibility guides in place.
The energy used in the entire
lifecycle of a Scrummi
disposable towel, including its
manufacture, is less than the
energy used by a washing
machine to clean one single
cotton hairdressing towel; yet
Scrummi towels are 15x more
absorbent than traditional
cotton hairdressing towels.
Even more so, sustainable forestry programmes ensure that three trees
are replanted for every tree harvested.
