Melanie may be the first voice you hear when you phone us, or the friendly welcome you receive when you enter salon. Together with the rest of team, she provides support for our clients and team alike to ensure a caring environment for all. Anyone who knows Melanie, knows she is a natural caregiver. After leaving school Melanie worked as an NHS midwife for 10 yeas but her career shifted after Charlotte was born as she faced severe health challenges. To care for Charlotte, Melanie ran a residential home so she could remain at home to care for Charlotte whilst also caring for others. When Charlotte began with alopecia at the age of 13, Melanie spent months searching for various solutions to help charlotte with the emotional toll of her hair loss. Eventually, Melanie sought out the services of Verve and was instantly comforted by the caring environment she found. In 2020, Melanie and her daughter Charlotte decided to buy Verve as they wanted to ensure others managing hair loss to experience the same supportive environment that Charlotte had. Together with the Verve team, they’re passionate about delivering the same empathetic care and transformative support that made such a difference to their family.

Charlotte’s connection to Verve began at age 14, when she started wearing an integrated hair system to help manage the psychosocial impact of alopecia. Passionately involved in designing each system, she developed a strong bond with the salon and its purpose. In 2020, Charlotte and her mother Melanie took over ownership of Verve as they wanted to continue to provide the same caring environment and private salon space Charlotte had valued unwaveringly for 12 years. Committed to understanding every aspect of the business, they both trained extensively in hair loss solutions, and, in 2021, Charlotte began a 2.5-year Level 5 Diploma with the Institute of Trichologists as she knew she wanted to be able to get to the root cause of her client’s conditions to provide clarity and support during emotional and challenging times. In 2024, Charlotte graduated with a distinction and was awarded the Keith Hobbs Award for Outstanding Achievement. Now the lead trichologist at Verve, Charlotte has also established the Verve Trichology Clinic. Charlotte remains passionate about alternative hair solutions, whilst she is determined to empower individuals through the emotional and physical challenges of hair loss.

With a decade of expertise, passion, and commitment, Lisa is the driving force behind the salon’s exceptional service. Having originally joined Verve as a hairdresser covering maternity leave in 2015, Lisa instantly became fascinated with the transformative hair replacement services at Verve. Needless to say, she never left and pursued advanced qualifications to master the art of hair replacement services, ensuring clients always receive the best care. Lisa was soon promoted to Salon Manger in 2018, combining her technical expertise with a client-focused approach. Celebrating her 10th year at Verve, Lisa cherishes the lasting relationships she has built with clients who travel from far and wide to see her. She finds the greatest joy in seeing customers leave the salon not only with new hair but with newfound confidence.

Sandra is renowned for her intricate colour work on wigs and hair pieces, from dimensional balayage to seamless root melts. Her ability to creating natural-looking, multi-tonal results has earned her a loyal client base with people traveling great lengths for her expertise. Sandra began her hairdressing career in Poland in 2007, it wasn’t until she joined Verve in 2019, that she immersed herself into training in traditional lace integration and hair replacement solutions. In 2022, Sandra expanded her skills by completing a mesh-free hair integration qualification, allowing her to offer even more tailored solutions for hair loss clients. Approaching her work with empathy, Sandra recognises the emotional toll of hair loss on her clients. While the process can be challenging and deeply personal, she finds the greatest reward in witnessing the transformations her work brings, made even more fulfilling by the continual support of the Verve team.
